Privacy Policy
Nuclear Pulse (hortopato.cc/nuclearpulse) is a static, read-only intelligence briefing. This page describes what data the site collects, retains, and shares.
What we collect
The site itself collects nothing. There is no:
- Analytics (no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Matomo, or similar)
- Cookie-setting (no session cookies, no tracking cookies, no functional cookies)
- Fingerprinting (no canvas, font, or browser fingerprint collection)
- User accounts (no login, no registration, no profile)
- Forms (no contact form, no comment form, no newsletter signup)
- Third-party scripts (no Google Tag Manager, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no Mixpanel)
- Embedded third-party content (no YouTube iframes, no Twitter embeds, no Disqus)
Server logs
The nginx web server records the following in /var/log/nginx/:
- Request timestamp
- Requested URL path
- HTTP status code returned
- Bytes sent
- User-Agent string
- Client IP address
These logs are retained for 30 days, then automatically rotated and deleted. The logs are used exclusively for:
- Security incident response (brute force, scraping, exploit attempts)
- Server capacity planning (peak request rates, hot paths)
- Operational debugging (broken links, 404 patterns)
Logs are never sold, shared, or correlated with third-party data. They are not used for advertising or retargeting.
Hosting and data residency
The site is hosted on a single VPS (94.156.119.58) operated by a third-party hosting provider. The VPS is physically located in the Netherlands. All traffic is served over HTTPS via a Let's Encrypt certificate with HSTS enabled.
Cookies
No cookies are set by this site. Browsers may store session-scoped state for the page (scroll position, theme), but this is browser-side only and never transmitted to the server.
External links
Nuclear Pulse links to source articles hosted on third-party domains (World Nuclear News, Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.). Clicking these links takes you to those publishers' sites, where their respective privacy policies apply. We do not control those policies.
Children's privacy
Nuclear Pulse does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from any user, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes materially, the change will be noted in the next published Nuclear Pulse issue (Sunday cycle). No retroactive changes will be made.
